Review: The Narrow Road Between Desires, by Patrick Rothfuss
It’s nice to read a Pat Rothfuss book after so long (and it has been a long time, as he says himself in the Author’s Note). I suspect there are subtleties of connection to The Name of the Wind that I’m not picking up years later, but I enjoyed it a lot nonetheless.
Rothfuss is very good at capturing the essence of fairy tales in his writing. The story and the prose is whimsical and strange, lighthearted, and just beyond reality.
